Navigating the Files Section of the Portal

This tutorial will guide you through navigating the Files section of the portal, including how to manage your podcast files effectively.

To access the Files section, navigate to the top navigation and select Files.

Upon entering the Files section, you will see a master folder for each of your podcasts. Typically, most users will only have one master folder corresponding to their single podcast.

In cases where multiple podcasts exist, each will have its own master folder. You can expand each folder to view its respective subfolders.

Each podcast contains a Base Files folder and a Final Files folder. The base files folder contains all files used for each episode, such as global assets for the specific podcast. In this example, we will focus on Mouse House Weekly.

Snapshot

The base files folder allows you to download assets, rename them if necessary, or delete files to upload new versions. You can also upload an updated version and leave a comment regarding the change.

For instance, if you replace the old file with a new version, you can note this in the comment section, as we have done here.

When updating files such as artwork, specifically a jpeg in this case, you can upload the new file and leave a comment to inform the team of the update.

Returning to the file manager, remember that the base files folder helps you locate global assets for your podcast, while the Final Files folder contains subfolders for each episode or project.

Snapshot

Whenever you upload a new episode, the system automatically creates a subfolder that corresponds to that episode.

In the Final Files folder, you will find files specific to that episode. However, it is important to note that raw files will not be located here.

Snapshot

To access raw files, you must navigate to the specific project or episode, then move to the files section for that episode.

Snapshot

Here, you will find the Final Files folder, which contains the respective files for the episode you are viewing.

Snapshot

If you return to the previous page and go to the Raw Files folder, you will see all the raw files that were uploaded when you submitted files for that episode.

If you need to add or replace any files, you can easily do so within this section.

To upload a new file, simply drag it into the folder icon area. The page will refresh automatically to display the newly uploaded file.

In cases where you need to replace an episode, delete the obsolete file, upload the new one, and leave a comment to notify the team about the change.

Snapshot

Make sure to mention the new file and tag a project manager from the team so they are informed about the update.

This concludes how to effectively navigate the file manager within the project and across the portal.

By following these steps, you will be able to efficiently manage your podcast files and ensure your workflow remains organized.
